Beauie Results 30th October

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

The great weather brought out massive numbers of racers to Beauie today and the racing in all 3 grades was fast and thrilling.

All grades recorded super fast times, no doubt due to the big bunches and this being the final rehearsal for the Robert Hodgson Memorial Race on the20th November.

The CCCC riders were out on force showing off their new kit, which unfortunately got a little bit dirty (as did Alexis Kaless's white shoes) from the water on the course.

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

It was a fantastic day at Beauie yesterday for the annual club champs. The smoke cleared in time for the large field of riders to strut their stuff and turn against their mates to win club honours.

The results for each category are posted below, but special thanks go to Adrian Atherton our commissaire, to Neil Aldridge who always shows up for traffic duty and road clearing, Scott Kestevan and Rich Makin who gave up their race to also do traffic control.

News update from the National Masters in Griffith over the weekend.

In the MMAS10+ crit and road race that legend of the bitumen - Richard Spinks - won double gold on the weekend. Spinksy is peerless in the umm slightly more aged end of the masters categories, and still loves to win.

In the MMAS1 ITT, Harro (green bar-tape) Morgan won silver, being edged out from the gold medal by just 3 seconds - soooo close.

Congrats to these two medallists - photos of Harro below and will attach one of Richard soon.

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Folks - this weekend's racing options centre on the best crit racing in Sydney on Monday 3rd October - yes it's Beauie.

With some of the old geezers away in Griffith for the National Masters, it's playtime for the young guns (your humble author excluded) to race at Beauie on Monday for some fast furious (but safe) crit racing.

This weekend will also see the CCCC boys and girls proudly wearing their new race kit which I must say looks pretty schmick.

Racing This Weekend - 24/25 September

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

After the massive success of the NSCC warriors last weekend especially Tom Green, Angus Calder, Harro Morgan, Simon Davies, Harrison Bailey and Marcus Culey in National Capital Tour, there is more racing this weekend.

The usual road convicts will be heading down to Heffron Park Saturday afternoon at 3pm, to again show those south-siders that NSCC is the club that simply lives to race. There's a core group who go down every Saturday, so if you fancy a fast loop circuit crit (that is almost as good as Beauie), join the club riders down there - signon at 2.30pm
