This October marks the seventh year of our association with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and we have been acknowledged as one of its top fundraising teams nationally.

Supported by our fantastic community, our small but enthusiastic Cherrybrook Pink Ribbon Breakfast team has raised over $114,000 since 2008. Last year we educated and entertained 109 guests and raised $33,001 with an auction, raffles, donations and cycling sponsorship.

When the National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1994, 30% of women diagnosed with breast cancer lost their life. In less than 20 years that percentage has halved, all thanks to medical research. The NBCF receives no government funding, but it is determined to achieve zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

This year’s breakfast is on Saturday October 25, and it’s time to start fundraising.
Corporate and individual donations are extremely important if we are to reach our fundraising goal of $35,000 this year.

My annual transformation from Grey nomad to Shocking Pink was planned last night with Michelle from Club Mac hair. Michelle’s enthusiasm to make me stand out has me a little nervous! That event is scheduled for October 17 on the eve of my trip to Melbourne for my 250km ride around the bay.

The 250km ride will be part of my 700 kilometres in 7 days cycling challenge this year.

Donations can be made by following the link below.

As always, your support of our fundraising is highly appreciated.
