Good Morning All

Plenty going on this long weekend from both a ride and race point of view, as well as a cause that all cyclist should get behind as well.

This Weekends Racing Options

Plenty happening this weekend, with Central Coast running their Saturday event once again, details are available on their website. Racing starts at 2pm and sign on from 1.30pm. You need an Australian Gold Licence to race the entry is $12.

Manly have their monthly West Head Road Race on, easily one of the more challenging courses to race on within North Sydney including the climb up from Akuna and undulations of the West Head circuit. They have their club champs on, so there are separate B and C Grades for the MWCC Riders, while A Grade have the pleasure of 3 Laps, so 75km of racing. All grades will be racing up from Akuna this month, with no neutral start.

Again details available on their website. Again $15 entry with a gold licence

There are a few of us hitting up the Manly Race, meet at Pearces for 6am to get down there for 7am. it's important to get down early to beat the Q to register.

Other Rides

The normal club rides are happening on Saturday and on Monday there is a long ride to Ettalong leave the Caltex at 6am.

I will probably be doing an easy ride on Monday as well, check website for details.

A Metre Matters

Finally I would encourage all members to get behind the Amy Gillet Foundation "A Metre Matters" campaign which has been endorsed by Cycling Australia. This is a opportunity to make a change to Australian Law and legislate that motorist need to give ample passing space to Cyclists.

I would encourage all NSCC Members to write to their local MP supporting "A Metre Matters"

Hope all NSCC Members have a great long weekend and I hope to see some members tearing some legs off on Sunday down at Manly!
