With Grafton a little under 2 months away now, NSCC have organised a series of training rides for those of you who are racing Grafton or alternatively are keen to really get some quality training in at a decent pace.
We have organised a series of epic training rides that gradually increase in length and difficulty which will help get you prepared for Grafton including a trip to the Southern Highland in early October.
Nearly all of the rides have bail out options, so if you are keen to join for part of the ride and then turnaround this has been accommodated as well.

Sunday 16th September 2012 – Somersby Loop via Berowra/Galston on the return (http://northernsydneycyclingclub.org.au/node/37714) Bailout option is Calga for those not looking to complete the whole ride or alternatively opt out of Berowra and Galston on the way home

Sunday 30th September 2012 – Wisemans Loop via Calga and back via Old North Road (http://northernsydneycyclingclub.org.au/node/37715) Again Calga is the bailout option here

Sunday 7th October 2012 – Southern Highland Blinder
(http://northernsydneycyclingclub.org.au/node/37716) this is a hard ride, have your climbing legs prepared and make sure you pack plenty of food, I can speak from experience blowing up before the final climb makes for a very long and hard last 30kms

Sunday 21th October 2012 – Wisemans Loop via Windsor and Calga (http://northernsydneycyclingclub.org.au/node/37717) the final ride in the series, over 200km long although not heaps of vertical so a real focus on distance.

In regards to the Southern Highland, please can you email me on aglogan@gmail.com if you intend to come as I want to co-ordinate who is attending so we don’t have anyone left behind.

In addition to this we have Beauie Worlds on this Sunday and over the long weekend where no doubt people will be heading out to do some extra K’s after and you should have signed up for the Kurrajong Classic as well to help sharpen your racing legs.

So come along and put yourself in the hurtbox!

See you out there

Andy
