Seems the smart ones headed to Canberra over the weekend to perhaps escape the poor Sydney weather or perhaps to chew on their head stem for a few hours a day at the notoriously hard Canberra Tour.

NSCC had a select bunch of riders representing in Mens B Grade and Womens A.

The NSCC girls Sue Forsythe and India Faehndrich, have started strong in 2011 coming off the back of their incredible 2010.

Typically suited to the flatter sprint events, Sue came out of the blocks in Canberra with a BANG and finished Top 10 on GC.

Sues performance was Cadel like consistent.

Top 10 in the Stage 1 Criterium
5th in Stage 2 110km Road Race - covered in hills by the way.
3rd in Stage 4 80km Road Race - again - covered in hills.

Sue was accompanied to her 10th place on GC by India who managed to still put in some exceptional results of her own. Her workload evident on the results sheets. Well done.

In Mens B Grade, Kor Sietsma and Harrison Morgan flew the flag for NSCC with Harrison finishing 24th on the extensive GC list also after some strong stage performances including a Top 15 in the bunch kick for stage 1.

With entries capped due to rider safety, it will pay to enter early for 2012 if you're keen to have a dig on some of the most challenging and "hard man" terrain around.

Just finishing this Tour can be a feat in itself so well done guys.
Great effort.
