What a great day and a great climb. Got to run alongside Cadel, Contador, Andy Schleck and the other GC riders for about 200m, what a buzz. I've attached some photo's below, but more photo's and video can be seen on my Facebook page. My blog can be read here:

As many of you would know I'm riding around the south of France over the next 15 days, from the 9th July through to the 24th. I will be riding stages 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 & 21 as well as riding some of the classic climbs such as Mount Ventoux, La Madeleine, Alpe du Heuz and Colombeir. Thanks to my sponsor I will be armed with the latest NutriScience products due for release late next week. On top of this I will be riding my brand new Specialized S-Works Tarmac – Cavendish Signature Edition bike, equipped with his Quarq CinQo SRAM power meter and Garmin Edge 800.

I will make this short and brief for a blog entry. I was racing in D Grade with about 50 other riders and it was blowing a gale on Koorangang Island to say the least. Some action immediately in D Grade as 5 riders came down on the choke point on the bridge overpass, which I missed as I was pretty much on the front.

Seems like everyone else had a wee lie in this morning?

Not sure if the big boys and girls of the El Presidente went out to play but this kid ended up splashing around and getting thoroughly soaked. Luckily my Scottish heritage means I'm used to it Smiling

On Bobbo the rain was torrential with rivers running across the tarmac and I had to turn my light off at one point just to see through the mist & rain so no kamikaze descending today.

"A day in the life of a Commissaire"

Last Saturday, I had the task to help commissaire a race involving a certain “M Renshaw”!

Admittedly, it was Marion Renshaw, Mark’s mother but none the less it reminded me of one of the reasons why I decided to become a Commissaire.

Hot day at the tennis centre 19 Feb 2011

After racing on Friday night at wyong with the CCCC club. I decided to have a sleep in, and miss the el presidente ride in the morning, and go and add some more punishment to the old legs, and race with LACC at the tennis center. If I had a crystal ball, I would not have considered this choice.
