NSCC Riders Tackle the Beast - Grafton to Inverell

This weekend we have the toughest race on the Australian calendar - the annual Grafton to Inverell Classic.

The race comprises 4 divisions - Div 1 is NRS, Divs 2 and 3 are for non-NRS, and there is also a women's NRS division.

The race is 228km long and features a 15km climb up Gibraltar Range, then a rolling terrain with many killer bergs before the finish in Inverell.

This year NSCC has 8 riders - 4 in NRS and 4 in Div 2. A profile on each of the riders is below:

We had an overwhelming attendance at the club's Annual General Meeting last evening. The minutes of the meeting will be published and shared with members as soon as possible.

An email has been sent to all financial members advising them on details for the 2018 AGM to be held at 7pm on 2 May 2018.
The venue is Thornleigh Autobody, 14A Duffy Avenue, Thornleigh 2120.

4 NSCC Podium Winners at NSW State Road Championships

This past weekend Cycling NSW held the state road championships in Berrima.

NSCC excelled with 4 podium places:

U23 Road Race - ANGUS CALDER Bronze Medal
U19 Road Race - JULIAN RAUBENHEIMER Bronze Medal
Division 3 Race - BILLY PATTERSON 2nd place
Division 3 Race - MARK TEMPLETON 3rd place

Harrison Bailey to Light Up the Belgium Race Scene

Current Robert Hodgson trophy winner and long time NSCC rider - Harrison Bailey - is heading to Europe having secured a contract with one of the top teams in Belgium.

Apart from winning the Robert Hodgson race in 2017, Harrison had a stunning year in NRS with GPM Stultz with stage race success during the year and getting noticed at the highest level. Harrison never talks it up and lets his legs to the talking - he is both humble and hugely talented.
